We are looking for a Data Engineer with the ability to understand customer data, use it to provide insights into business processes and realities, and transform it into a form that is suitable for analysis using Data Science and Machine Learning approaches.
It is important that you show initiative, value details, and can communicate clearly with both technical-oriented people, and business users.
“You will be working on our main products NetMetrics and AssetMetrics – you will create ETLs to transform the customer data to the Transmetrics Data Model, create tests and test data in order to validate ETLs, and provide proper data sets for forecasting and optimization.
For the External Data project, you will support infrastructure design, periodical retrieval of external data and interface with internal data model.
For the Data Transformation productization, you will propose and implement components to optimize work on transformation of customer data.”
Data extraction experience
Excellent understanding of SQL DQL, ability to extract knowledge of operations and business realities from the data, plus a basic understanding of the scope of database administration and design.”
You need to be able to understand the business problems we are tackling, and propose and take steps to resolve them.
You need to be thorough and detail-oriented when designing and implementing tests to validate business assumptions, data quality and the transformations of data themselves.
Experience and understanding of the business rules of the transport industry is a plus but not strictly required.
