Currently, we are looking to hire a Python Developer to join our amazing team of Data Scientists.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
As a Python Developer within the Data Science Team, you will play a pivotal role in creating cutting-edge software products that streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and drive innovation within the logistics sector. Your expertise in Python programming and data manipulation will be instrumental in developing robust algorithms, predictive models, and analytical tools to address complex challenges in logistics and transportation.
Your job will be to:
- Collaborate with data scientists and domain experts to design, develop, and implement algorithms that power forecasting, route optimization, demand planning, and resource allocation solutions for logistics operations;
- Leverage your proficiency in Python to preprocess, clean, and analyze large datasets derived from diverse sources such as – historical records, GPS/IoT data, and sensors and enable data-driven decision-making;
- Contribute to the development of machine learning models for predictive analysis, such as demand forecasting and vehicle routing;
- Engineer and transform features from raw data, ensuring that input variables are optimized for model training and predictive accuracy;
- Write efficient, modular, and maintainable Python code that adheres to best practices. Document your codebase comprehensively to enable seamless collaboration within the team;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions into the company’s software products, ensuring seamless interaction between front-end interfaces and back-end algorithms;
- Continuously enhance the performance of algorithms and models, focusing on scalability and efficiency, to handle real-time data streams and large datasets;
- Conduct testing and validation of developed models and algorithms, ensuring their accuracy and reliability in real-world logistics scenarios;
- Stay updated with the latest trends in data science, machine learning, and logistics optimization. Contribute innovative ideas and explore emerging techniques to solve complex logistics challenges.
We expect you to have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field;
- Proven experience as a Python Developer, ideally with a focus on data science or machine learning.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming, including libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, and multiprocessing.
- Familiarity with data manipulation, data preprocessing, and feature engineering techniques.
- Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models is a plus.
- Knowledge of optimization algorithms, graph theory, and/or operations research is an advantage.
- A strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with relevant tools is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
