We are looking for a Senior Release Manager to join our amazing Software Engineering team.
Role overview:
As a Senior Release Manager, you will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and executing software releases across multiple environments. Your expertise in cloud technologies, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and CI/CD processes will be essential for optimizing deployment cycles, managing configurations, and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems.
Your job will be to:
- Plan release windows and cycles, ensuring timely and smooth delivery of software.
- Coordinate and collaborate with different teams to streamline processes and enhance cross-functional collaboration.
- Conduct release readiness and milestone reviews, ensuring all requirements are met before deployment.
- Create and manage releases (e.g., merging branches, updating required files).
- Deploy various parts of the application to virtual machines or Kubernetes environments (for both acceptance and production).
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and make necessary adjustments to configurations for optimal performance.
- Work closely with engineers to monitor performance, identify issues, and implement improvements.
- Participate in code reviews and suggest optimizations for automation processes.
We expect you to have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Release manager or in a similar role with hands-on experience in deployment and release management.
- Strong knowledge of Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes/Helm/Docker, and Linux.
- Experience in planning and managing release cycles, coordinating between different teams, and automating processes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools, and the ability to make changes to configurations as needed.
- Python knowledge will be considered a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset, working in a cross-functional, agile environment.
- Very good English
